This was a real trip down memory lane. This picture is exactly on the spot where Linda's mum was born and her grandparents lived in Albert Road, Heeley, Sheffield. the children were shocked by the difference between their sub-urban, semi-rural lifestyle

in Newton Longville and the fast pace of a northern city.
Hard to believe that 4 houses stood on this spot. Such happy memories for Linda and lots of amusing stories to tell.
We

even got to look in the old Heely Swimming Baths, a fine piece of Victoriana still working today.
Samuel looking pensive in Meersbrook Park. Linda loved this park as a child. the kids were less impressed and gettign bored by her endless reminiscences!

The highlight and real reason for our trip was to see Mrs Wragg, Linda's nan's next door neighbour who totally spoiled her during her childhood visits. Sadly she passed away just after her 90th birthday. how pleased we were to have seen her. She was a wonderful lady.
